The Proverbs 31:25 Foundation is committed to ending period poverty among girls in South Africa by restoring dignity, confidence, and access to essential sanitary products.
Thousands of girls across South Africa miss school every month simply because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Many are forced to use unsafe alternatives, leading to health risks, shame, and isolation. Our work exists to ensure that menstruation never stands in the way of education or self-worth.
We provide free sanitary pads to girls from disadvantaged communities, ensuring consistent access to menstrual hygiene products throughout the year.
Period poverty is deeply connected to stigma and lack of education. We create safe, supportive environments where girls can learn, ask questions, and feel empowered.
Our foundation is inspired by Proverbs 31:25 — “She is clothed with strength and dignity.” Every programme we run is rooted in restoring dignity and reminding girls of their worth.
